Meet the Team

Salt Lake City 1

The employees at our Salt Lake City Rack N Road were born and raised in Utah, and want to actively give back to their home community. In addition to being members of IMBA and POW, Utah Rack N Road sponsors local high school bike teams, women’s competitive bike teams, and local outdoor athletes. They also personally use Rack N Road gear when they get outside to bike, kayak, ski, and camp; allowing the team to use first-hand experience to narrow down a customer’s needs and preferences.

Not only does the Utah Rack N Road find a perfect fit and offer customized installations, employees always take the time to give a product demonstration and make sure customers are confident and happy with their purchase. They believe in a fun and productive environment where the number one priority is customer satisfaction.

We had an awesome experience here last weekend. JD knew his stuff and was able to get me straightened out with everything I needed for my awning. He was fast and we were in and out of the store within 15 minutes. Awesome place, highly recommended.

Rack and Road could not have been better. Silly me, didn’t think to expand my storage until the day of my trip. I was thinking of other big sporting good stores but didn’t really have time do real with them before my road trip.My sister suggested Rack and Road. I called them. They had exactly what I needed. I did some quick online research and it matched up with exactly what I wanted. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Their price was competitive with what I found online and they even price matched amazon! Who does that? Also the let me take the floor model which was in perfect condition. They let me take it because I paid for assembly.I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. And I was probably on the road by the time they had their new floor model assembled. The floor was clean and well organized. They seemed to have a wide variety of other options. I would recommend to anyone.

Gotta hand it to the guys at Rack and Road in Midvale. I came in with a bunch of Yakima bike rack parts and crossbars, etc wanting to trade them in towards a Thule hitch rack. They offered me more than I expected for not all the parts, sold me the display model and threw in extra keys and lock cores for when I buy the add on.Saved me the trouble and hassle of selling it myself. I was in and out in 30 minutes.Great guys, great service as always!

Ordered the roof rails online from another company (have been trying to find the complete fit kit - since my car doesn’t have the roof rails - for awhile without luck since stock of cargo boxes and fit kits are very limited right now - Personally I wanted to get Thule rails but could not get the fit kit for my car so I ended up with Yakima rails) and went to Rack N Road for the cargo box. It looked like they also have a good selection of roof rails but unsure about their inventory of the base clips to fit specific cars. Pleased with the decent selection of roof cargo boxes in stock at Rack N Road, was able to get something immediately and installed same day. I did notice that my sunroof when it opens the windscreen on one side hits the roof rail, so I think it is off by a centimeter or so but not a big deal. If I had time I would take it back in for an adjustment but am currently traveling. Have not used the cargo box yet for storage but soon will be en route to my next destination and am excited for the extra space in the vehicle. Personally I think my car could have had a slightly bigger cargo box (while maintaining the ability to open the trunk), and I wish the cargo box would allow for further adjustment backwards (appears to be as far back as possible) as there was plenty of extra room between the box and opened trunk. Had I had the extra energy I might have asked to see a couple boxes placed on top of the car to see which one is the best but given the color of the box and car I think I ended up with the best choice given the inventory selection.Their trailer hitches also sounded pretty cool but another guy with the same car ordered one and they were talking a month out while I was there. If they had stock I would have added one the same day.Definitely recommend this place and would return. It’s nice to be able to get something done while traveling and Rack N Road did exactly that. 5 stars!

Amazing experience. These guys are awesome and go out of their way to help you. Especially when you are inexperienced with something, they make sure that you learn and understand the equipment you are buying. Definitely will keep coming back.
