The hydraulic damper provides weight assistance, making it easier to both lower and raise the rack with bikes fully loaded. Accessible tilt release handle for tilting the rack. The rack locks itself when tilted down in the load position. By gently pushing the handle down, the memory function activates which allows the user to let go of the handle and use both their hands to push the rack back up again.

  • With bikes mounted, the trunk is accessible with a push down handle tilt.

  • 20-29" wheels (20-24" accessory insert sold separately) with tires wide as 5" (4-5" accessory wheel basket sold separately).

  • The high load capacity of 55lbs per bike and a max carrier load capacity of 250lbs makes it possible to transport the heaviest bikes and lighter E-bikes.

  • Rubber contact only to prevent any frame or fork contact.

  • Generous 11" distance between bikes reduces risk of bike-to-bike contact.

  • Extra-long wheel holders enable easy transport of bikes with long wheelbases, up to 53"

  • This product is approved for motorized RV travel at reduced load capacity.  It is essential to follow the 40% load reduction guidelines provided in the fitting instruction for safe and optimal performance.

    • Return Policy
    30-day return policy, as long as the product is not completely used. 30-day return policy without wear and tear & with original receipt. If credit or debit cards were used, refunds will be returned to original card. If cash was used, refunds will be paid by check. If the item has noticeable wear-and-tear, a case-by-case basis will be applied for a reduced refund or trade-in value.

    Special order items will incur a 20% restocking fee. Special order items include but are not limited to: trailer hitches, side steps, tonneau covers, floor mats, and other non-stocked or unique items that are often (but not always) tailored to an individual vehicle.

    There are no returns on tire chains. If it is a warranty situation, we can provide the contact information for the manufacturer.
    Installation
    If you need assistance with product installation, please schedule an appointment. Customers do not have to go into the store to make an appointment, as they can be made over the phone at 800-722-5872.

    During peak seasons, deposits are required to hold an appointment. Rack N Road will call the day before to confirm the appointment time. We usually recommend a week in advance to schedule appointments, but certain seasons are busier than others and timing varies across all locations.
