Designed for e-bike enthusiasts, the Piston® ION™ is perfect for those who love to explore on two wheels. With a 100 lbs per tray capacity*, it can carry up to two e-bikes on a 2” hitch, all with zero frame contact.
Loading your bike is effortless with the included aluminum ramp, and the FastFit™ wheel chock system quickly and adjusts to different tire sizes. Plus, for those adventuring beyond the pavement, the Piston ION is RV-compatible (2” hitch & chassis-mounted) and off-road approved*, making it the ideal choice for those who push the limits.
With a fender-compatible design, support for wheel sizes from 18” to 29”, and the ability to handle tires up to 4.8” wide, the Piston ION is ready for any ride, any road, any adventure—all backed by Kuat’s No Worries Limited Warranty.

Special order items will incur a 20% restocking fee. Special order items include but are not limited to: trailer hitches, side steps, tonneau covers, floor mats, and other non-stocked or unique items that are often (but not always) tailored to an individual vehicle.
There are no returns on tire chains. If it is a warranty situation, we can provide the contact information for the manufacturer.
During peak seasons, deposits are required to hold an appointment. Rack N Road will call the day before to confirm the appointment time. We usually recommend a week in advance to schedule appointments, but certain seasons are busier than others and timing varies across all locations.
