For 2″ hitches, this extension gives you more clearance for your bike rack or trailer away from the vehicle. The insert tube is threaded, by bolting in the extension, you get rid of 80% of the play and rattle vs extensions that use a pin. Included is the 8″ extension, hitch bolt, and lock pod. If you want to match the key to another Rockymounts product, ask your dealer or add the lock # you want in the comments field at checkout. Allows BackStage, MonoRail and SplitRail racks to fold flat on Wrangler and other cars with spare tires. Works well with all bike racks including Thule® Yakima® and Kuat®.
Special order items will incur a 20% restocking fee. Special order items include but are not limited to: trailer hitches, side steps, tonneau covers, floor mats, and other non-stocked or unique items that are often (but not always) tailored to an individual vehicle.
There are no returns on tire chains. If it is a warranty situation, we can provide the contact information for the manufacturer.
During peak seasons, deposits are required to hold an appointment. Rack N Road will call the day before to confirm the appointment time. We usually recommend a week in advance to schedule appointments, but certain seasons are busier than others and timing varies across all locations.
