The Kuat Pivot v3 builds on our best-selling swing-away hitch adapter with refined upgrades that improve stability and confidence. A new safety pin closure system enhances driving stability. With quick-release 90-degree and 120-degree swing positions, the Pivot v3 makes accessing tailgates and trunks easy. The farther the weight is from the hitch, the more torque is applied, which limits how much weight or how many bikes can be safely carried.
Kuat racks are limited to 3 bikes (maximum 250 lbs), and all other bike racks or cargo systems should follow the distance-to-weight guidelines:
- Up to 28″ (from the accessory’s hitch-pin hole to the furthest point): 250 lbs max total weight
- 28–40″ (from the accessory’s hitch-pin hole to the furthest point): 150 lbs max total weight
Loads within the 40″ limit may exceed some Class III receiver ratings — check your vehicle or hitch manufacturer for exact tongue-weight details.
Not compatible with vertical hanging style bike racks.
Special order items will incur a 20% restocking fee. Special order items include but are not limited to: trailer hitches, side steps, tonneau covers, floor mats, and other non-stocked or unique items that are often (but not always) tailored to an individual vehicle.
There are no returns on tire chains. If it is a warranty situation, we can provide the contact information for the manufacturer.
During peak seasons, deposits are required to hold an appointment. Rack N Road will call the day before to confirm the appointment time. We usually recommend a week in advance to schedule appointments, but certain seasons are busier than others and timing varies across all locations.
